Volatile organic solvents are essential for many lab instruments, including HPLC, LC-MS, FPLC, and SFC. However, their use poses significant health and safety risks. Our Solvent Extraction and Delivery Port Caps provide a dynamic, closed-system solution to safely manage these chemicals. Choose adapters based on your preferred tubing size. A set of plugs in included in our kits to maintain a closed system when holes are not in use.

Port Caps for bottles with a GL-45 glass thread type
The GL45 thread finish is found on glass media bottles and is designed to ensure a secure, airtight seal, making it ideal for use with sensitive and volatile chemicals. GL45 is the most common 45 mm glass closure size.

For labs which do not need to use groundable safety containers, we offer these port caps to adapt to standard drum and pail closures, as well as Nalgene® 83B, 53B, and 100-415 carboys. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GROUND DRUM, PAIL, GLASS BOTTLE AND CARBOY (NON-JUSTRITE®) CONTAINERS; THIS MAY RESULT IN A SAFETY HAZARD WITH FLAMMABLE SOLVENTS.
